~Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading and I love sharing my projects and current reads here. I would love for you to join me each month and share what you are knitting (or crocheting) and reading too! Post your photo(s) on your blog or on Instagram (#yarnalong) and then share a link below to either your blog or Instagram post!~ (this post contains affiliate links.)
I love this little cardigan and have been working on it, at least a few rows, every day. Mabel is happy that I’m knitting something for her.
I’m reading several books, but Hickory was closest when I took my Yarn Along photo yesterday. I read about half of it to my little boys this week and then went on to finish it myself. I have mixed feelings about this book. The illustrations are beautiful but the story that starts out in a lighthearted way turns sad and has an unsatisfying ending in my opinion. I don’t think I’ll finish reading it to my boys.
I’ve gotten into the habit of having a morning read, usually something spiritual, and a bedtime read, usually fiction. My morning read is The Extraordinary parents of St. Therese of Lisieux and I am really enjoying it. After hopping from book to book for my bedtime read, I picked up a Mitford book, A New Song, realizing I need light reading right now. Ironically (given that moving may be on the table for us soon), this one is about Father Tim’s move from the town he’s lived in for many years.
