Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog, on Instagram (#yarnalong), or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

Knitting:ย  My Grey Goose Shawl.ย  Mostly mindless and perfect.

Reading:ย  Finished Sylvia’s Farm. The Little World of Don Camillo arrived in the mail yesterday. I started reading it last night, and it’s so hilarious I kept having to whisper it out loud to Jonny, trying not to wake Job with my giggles!

  1. I love don camillo! The bbc did a really good radio production too.

  2. My mom used to read Don Camillo to me in Polish as a child (my mother was born in Poland). I remember enjoying it. Might have to go find it again!

  3. I have never encountered mindless knitting. I really have to concentrate when I knit, but I have done mindless crocheting and I know what you mean. That book sounds hilarious.

  4. Also I put your button on my party page ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you for hosting this!

  5. This is great to find. I am not sure if I have been in the link up here before or not. Just this past week I started back knitting so until I get fresh knitting posts done to share I will share some over the next few weeks of past projects. Do you have this link up each week on this day by chance?

  6. Gwendolyn says:

Ginny, which yarn did you choose in the Grey Goose? I went to the site and it had several variety’s of yarn in that same name. I love your shawl. I started the pattern with a yarn I had at home, but it just didn’t look nice and squishy like yours. Mine looked like I was using too big of a needle with too thin of yarn.

  7. Oooh- I might have to make that shawl just for the name!!

  8. Don Camillo, I can remember the movies and my brothers falling from the couch because they had to laugh so hard ๐Ÿ˜€
Love the look of your yarn, like to see more in nearby future of your work!
    Thanks Ginny!

  9. it can be so wonderful to have mindless knitting!!! yay for a new book! Looks like a great one for Lent too! ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. love how squishy your yarn looks ๐Ÿ™‚ I love mindless knitting!

  11. Did you like Sylvia’s Farm all the way to the end? It’s on my list.

I love to hear from you!
