Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading (though not at the same time!), and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

DSC_0693It took some effort because I kept making silly, sleepy mistakes, but I divided for the sleeves on Wee Liesl this week.ย  Despite my struggles, this is a really fun pattern to knit.

I’m still trying to learn more about the history of Sudan, and am reading They Poured Fire on Us From the Sky.

  1. Such a good book! Heartbreaking, but excellent writing. If you’re interested in the lost boys in particular, What is the What (Valentino Achak Deng with Dave Eggers) is one of my favorite books of all time, and an excellent personal account from Sudan, but also a really endearing story of adjusting to a new life.

  2. Can’t wait to see how your Leisl turns out!

  3. I happen to love your knitting – colours, patterns and all. It might be partly because anything handmade is just so beautiful and compelling. But I have no doubt it is mostly because of your talents.

  4. The lace looks lovely.

  5. I so do not need to cast on another baby sweater, but you’re tempting me every time you post about this one.

  6. I love the yarn you are knitting with. It seems to be the week for mistakes. I had a bunch of them.

  7. What a lovely knit! The color of the yarn is wonderful.

  8. I try to do dividing and math stuff when I’m awake ๐Ÿ™‚ love the knit and the book looks interesting!

  9. Oh I’ve been there with the silly mistakes, I’m sure that now you’re past the sleeve division things will be smooth sailing ๐Ÿ™‚ Have a lovely day!

  10. What a beautiful colour yarn and I love the lacy pattern.

  11. I hate when I make those kinds of mistakes. It looks great so far. I just love that color!

  12. What a gorgeous color your yarn has, must be a joy to knit with.
I love the pictures of your children of your previous post, for me a joy to look at ๐Ÿ™‚
    Thanks for Yarn Along!

  13. I have Wee Liesl on my list to knit for Emerson so I’m glad to hear it’s a fun knit.
