~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~
Regarding my Jet Stream shawl, I believe that I am currently deep inside what is known as a knitting black hole. It may be awhile before I emerge.
I am happily distracted right now by a funny book that my sister recently sent me, Walking Across Egypt. The main character, an elderly woman named Mattie, who is “slowing down,” is hilariously delightful. I nearly died laughing in the opening chapter as she worried over what the neighbors would think were they to discover that rather than wash her dishes directly after lunch, she first watches “All My Children.” I won’t ruin the story by telling you just how far she goes to prove how worried she is about that fact, in case some of you decide to read it. I’m not embarrassed to admit that I grew up on “All My Children,” as did my mother before me. Folding laundry while watching it with her will always be one of my favorite childhood memories.
