I’m reading from several books right now: The Queen Must Die, Broadsides from the Other Orders
Over the weekend, I started knitting Larkspur’s Sunday Sweater for next fall and winter in the pink yarn that she chose. I’m a little nervous about the degree of variegation in this colorway, but hopefully it will turn out allright. So far, I think it looks pretty.

I read Robbing the Bees last year and I was amazed by the amount of effort that goes into beekeeping for the purpose of honey production. Definitely a different perspective on beekeeping.
Congratulations on your good news. I miss knitting tiny baby things. It’s such a lovely hopeful time.
Thanks for directing us to the glass storage jars too, I want to start off a batch of sour dough and they look perfect…I’ll just check first if I can find any nearer to home.

Oh I think the pink yarn is really nice. I should really start knitting for winter now as well, such is my pace of knitting lol.

Those books sound really interesting, I loved Honey and Dust by Piers Ede a book about a quest to taste different honeys around the world.

Ginny, every time you post about the bees or books about bees, I’m reminded of a most beloved children’s book by Elizabeth Goudge: http://www.amazon.com/Linnets-Valerians-Elizabeth-Goudge/dp/0142300268/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1369246420&sr=1-1&keywords=linnets+and+valerians+by+elizabeth+goudge In the book, the children are homeschooled by their crochety retired schoolmaster uncle and cared for by his servant Ezra who teaches them to honor the bees. The bees have a real part in the novel and it is lovely — one of my children’s favorite read-alouds when they were growing up.
That is a gorgeous color and perfect for Larkspur!
The pink sweater looks great so far, i’m sure it’ll come out just fine with the colorway. I hope we get to see it later when it’s finished and in use!
Beautiful yarn! I am working on a top for my munchkin in a pink she selected too. I do like pink but was kind of hoping she would choose a deep gorgeous green or something, but pink is fun too.

That does look like a good book. I love tupelo honey. Some of the best honey in my opinion. And great for diabetics too. I am going to check on my little hive this weekend and see if they have filled the frames up yet. They hadn’t a few weeks ago. I’m new at this so don’t really know what’s going on in the hive yet. I just love my bees and don’t really care if I get honey this year or not, as long as they’re healthy and happy here. But honey will be nice!

It really is a pretty colorway; alternating skeins is a good suggestion.

I am so glad you love bees… they are so important and *vital* to us… Blessed day to you today! 
the color is glorious … but yes, sometimes there can be pooling or odd striations … as Heather suggested, alternate skeins (like every few inches) to ensure they “match” when all is said and done
My only suggestion with the Madeline Tosh is to alternate skeins while knitting the sweater. The yarn even in the same colorway will have subtle differences. It is a gorgeous color.
