November has been full of fun things. Job turned seven earlier this month amidst several days of celebrating. He opened presents, had a birthday cake that rivaled The Worst Cake Ever, went bowling with all seven of his siblings, and spent an evening fishing with Jonny and some of the other kids. I think it was a very good birthday.
Gabe and Lark got dressed up and went to a dance after many, many months of no dancing, no parties, and well, you know. The dance was outdoors and the weather was unseasonably warm for November. November really has been good to us this year weatherwise.
Jonny and I spent our date night recently visiting our local bookstore after getting dinner out. One thing that has come of this year is a surge in enthusiasm for jigsaw puzzles and the selection at the bookstore has really grown. Isn’t it nice to be able to look forward to something as simple as picking out a new puzzle? After agonizing a bit over which one to bring home, I ended up choosing Bees & Honey. This is one of the most fun puzzles we’ve done! We aren’t quite finished with it and I am dragging my feet on putting the last pieces in. That means that one of the kids will finish it when I’m not looking!
