Today’s giveaway is from Sue, the artist behind In the Loft. She creates beautiful hand-painted figures, and ours are some of my children’s most beloved things. Advent begins on December 1st this year, and her figures are perfect to help families with their Advent Journey!
Hello. I’m Sue.
My Etsy shop is called In The Loft….and just as it sounds…it’s a studio loft over our living room. That’s where you’ll find me these days….now that all my kids are grown and this business is full time….painting away …creating items that help families live the liturgical seasons & are visually appealing to both children & adults.
My work is mainly with wood. I design and make all my items start to finish…which means a lot of time in the wood shop cutting and sanding…but my favorite place to be is in the loft painting. My 18yo son still helps with the wood cutting leaving me more time for painting. I’ve been open for 6 years and have been working full time for the last 2. I am grateful to be able to be doing work I love and using my gifts to offer beautiful materials that bring a bit of beauty to the home and help others celebrate and teach the faith.
Advent is fast approaching (First Sunday of Advent is December 1) and I am happy to be in the loft working on items for this season.
There is a new line of Saint ornaments that are perfect for tucking into stockings…or for that special Christmas gift for a dear one. Some of the Saint ornaments that are ready to be shipped include: Saint Nicholas, Saint Anne & Saint Francis!
You will find several items that may become new family traditions:
Advent Table Runner; a lovely hand painted canvas path that comes with 5 wood markers that help the children mark the days of advent.
Journey to Bethlehem; a set of Mary on a donkey & Joseph that can be moved around the house, making it to your Nativity on Christmas Eve.
Advent Saints for the prayer table; Saint Andrew, Saint Nicholas, Saint Juan Diego, Saint Lucy & Our Lady of Guadalupe….custom orders welcome.
Nativity Set…a 10 piece set which includes a Mary & Joseph that can hold Baby Jesus in their arms!
You will also find many items for use with The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Program (www.cgsusa.org). You may also follow me on Instagram & Facebook.
I am excited to offer one Small Things reader a chance to win a $75 Gift Certificate to my shop.
