I love the idea of seasonal yarn and chose to dye four dozen skeins with goldenrod last month. I dyed kettles full of yellow skeins and then modified and overdyed some of them for various greens. This is probably my favorite batch of yarn ever. I might have to start an August goldenrod tradition. I dyed larger than usual batches of some of the worsted weight colors, so you may even be able to grab a sweater’s worth. At the very least, I think a single yellow skein is always welcome during the long winter knitting months. I have plans for yellow mittens and love the idea of a worsted weight green sweater. There are a few shawl kits in this update along with worsted, dk, and sport weight skeins. I also have three batches of Greta Goat’s Milk Soap ready. The shop will be updated at 11 a.m. ET on Thursday, September 12th.

Knitting something with both the green and goldenrod colors would be so rich.

What is the useful list of “tools “ required for dyeing yarn ? What recipe do you use ? I’d love to start playing with my yarn. Many thanks !
