~Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading and I love sharing my projects and current reads here. I would love for you to join me each month and share what you are knitting (or crocheting) and reading too! I ended up spending most of last month reading the fourth Mitford book, but I’m now about halfway into Village School, and I’m enjoying it! So many people have recommended this series to me, and it’s nice and quiet, which is what I have wanted in recent months.
I’m knitting a few rows a day on a bonnet for Beatrix’s birthday. I love this hollyhock dyed yarn! It’s such a sweet shade of powder blue. Did you see this little slice of pumpkin pie that Nicole knit? She has me wanting to knit one. Knitted play food would make such fun stocking stuffers!

Reading and knitting — it really doesn’t get any better than that!

I have read Miss Read (seems funny to say that) once, and enjoyed it for the quietness, also. The bonnet is a beautiful color!

Back linking up after a break. I’ve not heard of that book series. Will go and check it out. I learn so much – had no idea that hollyhock dyed blue. And the pumpkin slice is gorgeous. Am I alone in thinking I’d like to knit one for me?
Thanks for hosting.

I agree, the hollyhock yarn is a beautiful colour. Your whole last collection was just stunning. And I love the bonnet the Beatrix has chosen – so sweet. I’ve never read the Mitford books, but I am reading a book set in Virginia at the moment (The Shore). I would most definitely NOT describe it as either ‘nice’ or ‘quiet’, but it is superbly well written. Thanks for hosting your yarn along once again – I look forward to it every month and enjoy writing my novel-and-knitting posts!
