~Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading and I love sharing my projects and current reads here. I would love for you to join me each month and share what you are knitting (or crocheting) and reading too! Post your photo(s) on your blog or on Instagram (#yarnalong) and then share a link below to either your blog or Instagram post!~ (this post contains affiliate links.)
I mentioned my plan to start reading the Mitford books on Instagram, and so many people commented to recommend them. They were right! I don’t know that I would have enjoyed At Home in Mitford ten years ago, but it is exactly the sort of book that I need right now. It’s not so eventful that I feel compelled to stay up too late reading or neglect my chores to read during the day, but I look forward to it like a cup of hot tea. It’s cozy, warm, and just perfect. I’m enjoying it so, so much.
We’re in the midst of a crazy heat wave here in Virginia (and of course our a.c. is malfunctioning) so I’ve been sock knitting! Anything else is too hot on my lap. I’m almost finished with the first of a pair of Will O’ The Wisp socks.
Is it hot where you live? Are you knitting anyway?
(And Happy Fourth of July to all of you in the U.S.!)
