~Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading and I love sharing my projects and current reads here. I would love for you to join me each month and share what you are knitting (or crocheting) and reading too! Post your photo(s) on your blog or on Instagram (#yarnalong) and then share a link below to either your blog or Instagram post!~ (this post contains affiliate links.)
Hello, and welcome back to the Yarn Along! Yarn Along is a monthly link-up beginning the first Wednesday of each month. Today’s link-up will remain open until the next one begins on April 4th. Out of consideration for others, please limit your links to posts that are truly in the spirit of the Yarn Along, sharing your current projects and what you are reading. Thanks for being here!
I got a little sidetracked and ended up knitting a new bonnet for Mabel last month, but I’m still working on my Flora Cardi. I realized, with great sadness, that it is probably going to be too big for me. I cast this on shortly after Mabel was born, and my measurements have changed significantly since then. I spent a couple of days trying to decide if I should rip it back and start over, but I didn’t have the heart to do it. I’ve decided to finish it as is, and then maybe toss it in the dryer for a few minutes if it is just entirely too big. We’ll see. Of course, the leg warmers I finished up last month already got accidentally washed/dried/felted, so maybe knitting things on the big size is a good idea…
I’m not reading very much right now outside of my morning devotions and read alouds to the kids. I’m reading Return to Gone Away to the girls. Beyond that, I’ve been too tired lately to read at bedtime. I am thinking about what I want to read next though. I finished Rilla of Ingleside, the last of the Anne books, and it’s time for something new!
