I updated our shop today…this is the last update this year!
Something new this time around is mini skeins of my eco-friendly, minimally processed American wool in 2 ply fingering weight. I love creating sets of naturally dyed mini skeins, and wanted to be able to do so using my favorite wool, so I ordered a special counter to be installed on my yarn swift. Now I can create these minis myself, by hand. There are six sets available this month.
I dyed up a small number of playsilks using my natural dyes for those that missed out on last month’s and were hoping to give these as gifts. I am often asked, “What’s a playsilk?” My answer is that these are fabulous open ended toys that children can use for dress up play, or as props in other imaginary play. My kids have always loved these, and I am so pleased to be able to create them using all natural dyes. Adults can use these as well as head scarves or photo props. Open ended beauty for everyone!
There is still goat’s milk soap available as well, though my local friends keep asking for it, so if you want some before my next update in mid to late January, buy it now before I run out!
I’ll be shipping orders as quickly as I can so that you will have everything in plenty of time before Christmas. Please also check out Seth’s shop. He has some beautiful maple cutting boards available. I love them so much that I asked for one for my upcoming birthday. They were milled using maple from a large branch that fell from one of the trees in front of our old house, so they are pretty special to us. They are sanded buttery smooth, but are live edge and follow the contours of the branch making them uniquely beautiful. Seth also has a handful of hand turned candlesticks available as well. As always, if you order from both our shops, we will combine and refund the extra shipping. Be sure to leave me a note if you do, and with any other special needs or requests!!!
Thank you all so much for the way you support our little family business. It means the world to us!!!!!
