Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading and I love sharing my projects and current reads here. I would love for you to join me every Wednesday to share a single photo of what you are knitting (or crocheting) and reading too! Share your photo on your blog, on Instagram (#yarnalong), or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us!~ (this post contains affiliate links.)

I finished reading Housekeeping yesterday. I really enjoyed it, but I’m afraid I read it too quickly. I may have to reread it someday.

I haven’t settled on my next novel yet, but Larkspur and I are reading a new (to us) book this week, Gardening with Chickens. We are making lots of plans, something we both really enjoy doing especially when gardens and animals are involved!

My Find Your Fade is coming along. I’ll join the third color today!

Like the blog – discovered via the KnitPotion blog. Not a home schooler, son grown up and at Uni now anyway (now that’s a scary adventure for us parents, though child loves it!), admire those who home school though. Look forward to reading more here.

A little off-topic, and I apologize, but I am so happy I found your blog! I too am a homeschooling mom, not to mention knitwear designer, yarn lover, and avid reader. 🙂 I just signed up for your newsletter, and I’m going to enjoy reading your posts.

I loved this book! I am a huge fan of the author, and actually get to go see her tonight as she is teaching a chicken keeping class in my area 🙂 The shawl is absolutely gorgeous as well. I love the colors you chose!

I didn’t actually love Housekeeping until I read it a second time. Definitely worth picking back up in a couple years 🙂

Find Your Fade is looking nice. I started picking some colors to cast mine on in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the inspiration!

You always choose the most incredible neutrals and your shawl is going to be beautiful!! Your book sounds great…with an inherited flock of non-laying chickens I would probably enjoy it too!

Does the book go into ideas for keeping the hens out of your plants? My husband is getting so frustrated with them digging up stuff.
