~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading and I love sharing my projects and current reads here. I would love for you to join me every Wednesday to share a single photo of what you are knitting (or crocheting) and reading too! I finished reading Gilead (I highly recommend it) so now I am trying to decide what to read next. Lila, maybe?
I’ve knit a here and there on several projects this week, but last night I cast on for a sweet little hat called “Doe cap” for Mabel in some of my walnut dyed yarn. The pattern is from the latest Making magazine.
Mostly I’m catching up on paperwork right now, in addition to being a little swamped with homeschooling and move related things!

I’m in love with that Doe Cap. I want to make one but I’m not sure if my girls would wear it. Can’t wait to see yours!

Definitely go with Home rather than Lila! So good.

How funny! I’ve been knitting the doe cap using your walnut dyed yarn as well! Unfortunately I don’t have a blog to link to, but I’ll try to remember to post pictures on Revelry soon.

*Ravelry,* of course!

Gilead is wonderful read and so is Lila but Home is something better. In my opinion x

I just read Gilead a couple months ago and loved it! One of my favorite books I read this year. 🙂

That walnut color is really nice! It’ll look adorable on Mabel.(Well, what doesn’t?)
I need to re-read Gilead now–you’ve made me miss it. 🙂 I liked Home a little better than Lila, but that might be because I read Lila when it came out, years after Gilead, and I didn’t think the character was consistent. But I could be totally wrong!

I loooove your walnut yarn. Such a soft, comforting colorway. Perfect for baby knits, I found. Driving my now freshman daughter around to various homeschool things seems to be my main task right now and I’m not enjoying it. I don’t want her to grow up any faster than she is, but a driver’s license will be so welcome! I love Mabel’s little fingers in the photo. xx
