Last Minute Shop Update

Our Shop will be updated on Thursday, December 15th at 11 a.m. EST. This is a small update, mainly a few things we didn’t finish up in time for the last one. This will be our last shop update until February or March I believe, but if you have a yarn related emergency, feel free to contact me after the holidays. 🙂

So you know exactly what we will have listed:

There are 21 playsilks in gray, brown, olive, yellow, fuschia, pale coral and the deep one pictured above.

There is only a little bit of yarn: Three fingering weight, single-ply, coral madder gradient sets (pictured above–this is my current favorite yarn base–I have one natural white skein left and I’ll list that one too), a couple of worsted brazilwood pink skeins, and then a little brazilwood and madder root fingering weight. They are all soooo pretty. The brazilwood is more of a pink-red, while the madder skeins are all more of a deep orange with red (top photo).

There are 8 different Liberty sachets, 4 each of most of them are available.

And finally, Jonny’s Little Bird shawl pins. We are listing 30 of them. The poor man may give them up after this. Just kidding! He’s just sooo picky about them and sanding takes a lot of time to get them just how he likes them. He has worked hard to be able to offer that many this month.

Orders will all ship by Monday, December 19th. You will have the option of upgrading to priority mail shipping within the U.S. to help ensure Christmas gifts make it in time (though if you are international-nothing is going to make it to you by Christmas, I’m afraid.) If you order multiple items, you will likely end up with a shipping refund from me once I ship your items.

I think that’s it! Thank you all for your orders! We love doing this and are so thrilled to have you support us in this way.

She has tons of recipes that are converted from regular recipes. I own two of them and love them.

Ginny, I received Greta’s goat milk soap on a recent shop update and I wanted to let you know how much I love using it. I’ve got naturally oily skin even though I’m 55! During the winter though, my skin can feel dry. I only bought one bar, but I should have bought more. I’ve been using this on my face every morning. It makes my skin so hydrated and soft. I leave the bar sitting out next to the sink and even though we’ve got a large bathroom, I can smell the soap as soon as I go in the room. Lovely! Just wanted to put my comments in so next time in February or March, you might have some more soap!

Just want to say how much I love your play silks – got three from the last time the shop was updated, and my grandchildren have had more fun with them! They are using them as superhero capes, head-dresses, imaginary rivers and hills in their block towns … and that was just in the first weekend! Thanks so much, Ginny, for helping us create a happy place for the kids to visit. 🙂

I’m so glad they love them! It sounds like they are using them the same way my kids do. 🙂

I love the things in your shop, Ginny. If I would live over in the US I would order, esp the yarn. But with customs it is too expensive.

If you by chance live in Canada, there should not be duty on an American made product.

Oh dear! I just fixed the date in the post. Better making the mistake of saying it’s the day before than the day after! Thanks for pointing that out Gwen!

Good morning Ginny! I just placed an order and can hardly wait for it to arrive! I have been wanting one of Jonny’s shawl pins for awhile so now I get to treat myself! It’s also nice to be doing business with a neighbor lol (I’m up by the Springfield Town Center)! Merry Christmas to you, Jonny and those beautiful children!

Your colors are so beautiful! The silver, acorn, playsilks are stunning. I have a, probably, dumb question. What are the playsilks used for?

I know this is probably not the place to post this question but do you own an instant pot? If so how do you like it and what do you use it for? Can’t wait to see the play silks tomorrow? I don’t know how to knit otherwise I would buy up these beautiful yarns.

Too funny that you should ask! I bought one on Cyber Monday this year and I’ve already used it five times or so. I’ve used it to cook dry beans and love it for that purpose! I also cooked a whole chicken in it, and may never roast one in the oven again! I’m totally sold on this thing and want to get a cookbook of recipes geared towards it.
