~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading and I love sharing my projects and current reads here. I would love for you to join me every Wednesday to share a single photo of what you are knitting (or crocheting) and reading too! I finished reading Knitlandia this week, and loved reading about all the different knitting conferences. I started reading O Rugged Land of Gold yesterday, but I am not sure that I am up for the story right now. This time of year is a little stressful and this book is about a woman: pregnant, injured, and stranded in a remote part of Alaska. Maybe not what I need right now, but intriguing nonetheless.
I am close to finishing my Emiliana shawl, but am struggling to find time to knit. Soon, I hope!

Just recently discovered this blog of a lovely Christian woman who deals with a lot of books that are more calm, beautiful and good – healing even – for the soul. http://laniersbooks.com/ I still have to read more calm books; my go-to healing/beauty/deeply Christian author is Elizabeth Goudge. You may love her _Scent of Water_ or _The Dean’s Watch_ … God bless you! and yes, good to know what books are right for you at the time you are in!

Your shawl is magnificent! Love the colors! I may check out the book. I’m reading the Outlander series. Just going to start number 6, but in between I try to read a different type of book. This one is Cold Sassy Tree by Olive Ann Burns. It’s a great read! I dont write much on these but I lovevthis site, thank you.

Ha! “intriguing nonetheless”
I found that funny. I like to watch serious dramas, when really I shouldn’t, because they affect my mood by bringing me down. I’m trying to watch more comedy movies.
You tend to read serious stuff. I think you need more light hearted material.
