Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading and I love sharing my projects and current reads here. I would love for you to join me every Wednesday to share a single photo of what you are knitting (or crocheting) and reading too! Share your photo on your blog, on Instagram (#yarnalong), or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us!~

Yarn Along-2993

Funny how some kids hate having their picture taken, and some try to sneak into every photo they can…  Beatrix is currently missing three teeth right up front and wants to make sure I document their absence at every opportunity.

I finished up the rainbow socks and put them in the mail and am back to working on the second of my wildflower socks.  It’s almost time for the heel!  I also finished Don’t Let’s Go to the Dog’s Tonight (very good book), so I am returning to the Sigrid Undset series I was in the middle of with, In the Wilderness.

***Today, Tracey is hosting a virtual baby shower for me!  She has put so much work into it, so please go visit her blog and see all that she has done.  It’s really beautiful, and I am so grateful for her friendship and for all of you that participate in Yarn Along each week.  Thank you for being here! And thank you so much for thinking of our new baby girl!

    Dear Ginny,
So happy for you that you have such a sweet friend who would take the time to organize the virtual shower for you. I got out of the hospital in time to put my gift in the mail to you. I am so sorry I did not get it posted where I was suppose to post it. However, since I can not knit more than that wash clot yet…yes 3 years later, I purchased your gift. You should have received it by now. I love this picture of Beatrix in the background. And I just am so jealous of those socks. I so would love a pair when I am in the hospital. I will have to get working on my knitting!!! Praying for you always!

What a lovely idea Tracey put together. Very thought-filled. Oddly enough, I am sitting at the computer with my tea cup and saucer having my morning tea, so it felt a little like I was participating with y’all in the experience. What a neat community you have, Ginny.

Congratulations Ginny and thanks for the hosting. Look out for a “little something” from Australia. 😀

That was so nice of Tracey, very beautifully done. Made me wish I was there have a cup of coffee enjoying the apple tree. They smell so sweet. Your newest edition is very lucky
