Yarn Along

Last week I finished The Blue Castle, and rediscovered No Life for a Lady.  I have way too many books stacked on my desk, and it had gotten buried.  I am about halfway through it now, and love it.  I think that Jonny and my older boys will probably want to read this one too.  It is in the same vein as High, Wide and Lonesome: Growing Up on the Colorado Frontier, and Little Britches.

After making several late night mistakes on my legwarmers, I picked up an abandoned knitting project.  I completed the first of these mitts many months ago, and am now working to get the second one finished.

    I always enjoy seeing the yarn you are using, you have good taste – it looks so soft and good quality. I’d quite like to squish it, but America’s a long way from England just to see some yarn!

    I just finished this book a couple weeks ago! I found it very interesting. I have The Blue Castle on my reading pile right now. I have so many book recommendations coming my way that the pile is just too big!

    The book sounds interesting. I started a hat today and made a mistake early on and had to frog over half of it! Such a silly mistake too.

    Pretty mitts! It’s getting to be mitt weather around here as I’m starting to get ice-cold-mouse-hand syndrome.
    The book looks fascinating. Would you say it is suitable for children/young people?

    Love your mitts. Your knitting always looks PERFECT! I knit some gloves for my daughter a couple of years ago with that same color (at least that’s what it looks like on my computer) and she loved them.

    I wonder why I have not read High, Wide & Lonesome? I grew up in Colorado. While not on the flatland, I grew up in the mountains which, when I look back on it was an amazing childhood.
