Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading and I love sharing my projects and current reads here. I would love for you to join me every Wednesday to share a single photo of what you are knitting (or crocheting) and reading too! Share your photo on your blog, on Instagram (#yarnalong), or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

The bonnet is finished, and just needs a ribbon.  This pattern was quick and easy to follow, and I think it’s really cute!  I started a pair of little Mary Jane booties to go with it.

Rebecca is so, so good, just like everyone said.  I have been neglecting my knitting to read in the evenings, and am about halfway through.

I’ve been reading posts about your yarn along for ever so long and I’m not sure what took me so long to start reading and reading and reading your blog, Ginny.
    I love it.
I’ll join up with Yarn Along next week if it’s not already too crowded. I do love knitting and I REALLY love books.
What a sweet place you have here.

Ooh I love “Rebecca”! I read it about two years ago, but I still remember so much from it. Glad you’re enjoying it, too!

What a lovely bonnet! There’s a nip in the air and I need to turn my attention to a warmer hat for HipHop (I gave various baby hats away, never expecting to have a sixth child).

How I love that bonnet, and lament the fact that I have no coming babies or grandbabies as an excuse to knit one. Rebecca is a good read, but IMHO a bit scary and depressing.

Rebecca is a great novel – I enjoyed reading that earlier this year.

Ginny, I also wanted to say we have a friend in common — I saw my friend Erin a few weeks ago as she made a summer trip home. Turns out she is in your parish! We both wanted to tell each other about your blog as Catholic inspiration!

Love the bonnet. I can’t wait to see it with the ribbon. I got the pattern since we’re expecting a girl later this month or early next in my son’s family. Another lady mentioned the dishcloths again and she’s right; they are wonderful…when are you going to put them for sale.

Rebecca is a favorite of mine! I’m currently reading Wuthering Heights and I don’t knit but I’ll cross stitch along with you:-)

P.S. Glad to see you’ll be selling dishcloths again, and for anyone who didn’t buy last year: they are awesome!

You could get an Audible account and listen to you books. Then you wouldn’t have to neglect your knitting 😉 Blessings to you and your family!

Thank you so much for hosting this space. It’s so wonderful to see what everyone is doing. I love that bonnet, round bonnets and rounder baby cheeks are just one of the best combinations!
