Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading and I love sharing my projects and current reads here. I would love for you to join me every Wednesday to share a single photo of what you are knitting (or crocheting) and reading too! Share your photo on your blog, on Instagram (#yarnalong), or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

I’m not quite 100 pages into Go Set a Watchman yet, and so far I feel pretty neutral about it.  I know a couple of people who read the entire book the day it was released, and I don’t understand how.  I am just trying to read a chapter a day!  I’ve knit about three inches below the sleeves of my barn sweater, and I am happy with my progress so far.

I loved To Kill a Mockingbird, so I definitely plan on reading Go Set A Watchman soon!

Love the Barn sweater, I’m a big fan of Carrie’s patterns. I’m reading Go Set a Watchman too and am feeling a bit underwhelmed so far as well. To Kill a Mocking Bird has so much to live up to. I’ll keep going though…be intersting to compare everyone else’s thought s when we’ve all read it.

Your sweater is a beautiful colour! I’m fairly new to the yarn along party, though I’ve certainly been reading others for a few years. Thanks for having me, it’s a wonderful thing that you’ve started!

Your barn sweater is so pretty. And there’s something so intriguing about a name like “barn sweater”! Happy Wednesday!

I’m holding off on reading that book for now. I’ve heard many things and I’ll wait for my brain to forget what I heard. The wedding is this weekend so I can barely read a sentence!! Lovely barn sweater 🙂

With a large home-schooled family, getting even a chapter a day read is an accomplishment. A couple of times when my two children were in school, I was able to finish a book in a single day. Now that we have an empty nest and I am off for the summer, I could probably read all day if I wished. I have so many crafts in progress though I don’t want to feel like I am wasting the day. Love the sweater.

I’ve been neglecting my knitting and reading lately, too many other things going on, but have finally got back to both and I’m joining in with your link party. Your sweater is progressing nicely.

I haven’t started Go Set a Watchman yet, I’m still trying to finish The Truth According to Us, but I’ve heard things, things I wish I hadn’t. Love the sweater.
