Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog, on Instagram (#yarnalong), or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

Knitting:  My Grey Goose Shawl.  Mostly mindless and perfect.

Reading:  Finished Sylvia’s Farm. The Little World of Don Camillo arrived in the mail yesterday. I started reading it last night, and it’s so hilarious I kept having to whisper it out loud to Jonny, trying not to wake Job with my giggles!

My mom used to read Don Camillo to me in Polish as a child (my mother was born in Poland). I remember enjoying it. Might have to go find it again!

I have never encountered mindless knitting. I really have to concentrate when I knit, but I have done mindless crocheting and I know what you mean. That book sounds hilarious.

This is great to find. I am not sure if I have been in the link up here before or not. Just this past week I started back knitting so until I get fresh knitting posts done to share I will share some over the next few weeks of past projects. Do you have this link up each week on this day by chance?

Ginny, which yarn did you choose in the Grey Goose? I went to the site and it had several variety’s of yarn in that same name. I love your shawl. I started the pattern with a yarn I had at home, but it just didn’t look nice and squishy like yours. Mine looked like I was using too big of a needle with too thin of yarn.

Don Camillo, I can remember the movies and my brothers falling from the couch because they had to laugh so hard 😀
Love the look of your yarn, like to see more in nearby future of your work!
    Thanks Ginny!
