~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~
I’m afraid that I’m going to be knitting and reading the same things for the next few weeks. I’m sorry to be so boring, but this is just my reality right now. Maybe it will encourage those of you who don’t feel like you can Yarn Along because you’ve been working on the same projects for so long. Join us anyway! I try to make it a priority to knit even just a few rows every day, but even that doesn’t always happen. Unless I have a couple of hours to knit in the evening I can’t make much progress. Lately, our evenings are full and my hands must be busy with other things. Thankfully, a row here and a row there do eventually result in finished projects!
I am reading The Little Oratory slowly and thoroughly, rereading parts and even highlighting along the way. I’m about halfway through. This is a book that I feel I’ve been needing for many years.

summer is a super busy and active outdoors time of year! I hope you have more time for knitting as I know it is so good and calming but don’t feel bad about not being able to do so; it’s summer… much love! God is with you!

It’s good to just slow down sometimes and savour what you are doing. Enjoy your projects

Thank you for having us all and for the encouragement to post even without a lot to show:) My post this time around contains a little homage to Arlo Guthrie and Pete Seeger’s “Inch by Inch, Row by Row” song. Have you heard it? It is a beautiful garden song and knitting metaphor! When I read your post this week, I had to share it.

Hi Ginny, You’re absolutely right, I usually join in just once a month or so when I have something finished but I’ve just joined this week after reading your Post. It’s nice to have WIP’s and see the progress of others and it might even encourage to finish one of the 3 things on my needles sooner. Thanks for the encouragement 🙂 Mel x

It’s a tough time of year to get knitting done. I personally feel like my project is moving in slow motion for some reason. It’s harder to sneak away and do a few rows during the day. It’s almost like I sneak away and weed a few rows instead. 😉

Your knitting looks absolutely gorgeous. The colour is so beautiful I won’t mind looking at it for weeks and weeks, if that’s what it going to take. Slow and steady wins the race:) Can’t wait to read your review of this book.
Wishing you a lovely day.

It takes me a long time to do *everything*–that’s life with a big family, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. One thing it’s NOT is boring (and neither are you!) ♥

Knit when you can and enjoy the flow of life! 🙂
I’m perusing canning recipe books and knitting for my granddaughter’s first b-day this Sunday…so glad life is slow right now, so knitting time is abundant! ~Lisa

I finished a door stopper of a book (david copperfield) so I am going short and sweet. My knitting will be the same for a while due to summer and going with the flow with the family. One son is home for the summer and both kids are looking for new apartments in new cities/towns. I’ll be busy 🙂 Love your knitting, Ginny!!
