Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs.  I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

DSC_8543I moved to the first chart on Larkspur’s birthday shawl last night so that’s coming along and I’m on track to have it finished in time for her birthday.  I’ve decided that I need a break from my reading choices of late (classics that are somewhat depressing!) and I’m reading a memoir now called My Sisters the Saints.  So far it’s wonderful, the perfect ‘it’s almost Lent’ read.

It’s an amazingly vibrant colour. I know about the reading. Especially in February it’s sometimes good to read something uplifting. Enjoy your read.

I love that shawl. Julia has been wanting one – she is always asking if she can wear mine – and I was thinking of making one for her birthday in November. This might be just the simple, pretty pattern I am looking for… xo

That is a glorious purple. She picked such a great color! I love that you let her pick it herself. I wish I wasn’t such a control freak

I have a hard time with reading classics in the winter because they are so depressing. My son is reading British Literature this term and I am struggling.
Great work on the birthday shawl.
