Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs.  I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

Happy New Year!  I hope you all have been having a great holiday season.  I am definitely looking forward to the new year.  As always I am planning far more knitting projects than I actually have time for.  Right now I am trying to knit a simple pair of fingerless gloves for a gift, and struggling to find the time to work on them.  Job is a fussy nurser much of the time, so I can’t nurse and knit very well, especially on double points.  I need to finish them in the next ten days, and hopefully that will happen.  I picked up Crossing to Safety at the library last week.  I’m a couple of chapters in and I’m enjoying it.

Beautiful yarn and as always, the background for your picture is wonderful. With my third baby, I finally was able to knit and nurse when she was very small, but she is too squirmy and distracted now at 8 months to even imagine the idea of managing her nursing and knitting needles! Thanks again for hosting this so faithfully, it is a bright spot in my week!

That you can nurse and knit *at all* is miraculous to me. I’m in awe, really. I could barely manage to read a book while nursing. 🙂

Happy New Year, Ginny! Hoping you find more time for knitting as the new year progresses 🙂
Also, thanks for the reminder earlier about Tomi dePaola’s books–I checked out the first two this week at the library and hope to start reading them to my son soon–they’re delightful!
