Keats noticed her darting across the busy shopping mall parking lot and into some bushes next to the road. “Look, Mommy!” I pulled the van closer and parked, then hopped out and slowly walked over, afraid she would dart into the street. She hissed at me and scooted a few feet further into the bushes when I reached for her. I called Keats from the van and he held her attention so I could grab her from behind. Grocery shopping was certainly more interesting than usual that day, and it was all very exciting for the kids. They rescued a kitten, and they get to keep her. Her name is Em-Em and we love her. Trudy, on the other hand, thinks that Em-Em is ferocious. She’s terrified, the poor dog.

Great pictures! What breed is Trudy?

She’s a mix! Lab, pit bull, and boxer are the three that we know.

Hi, I found your blog via The Blog Maven and I’ve so much enjoyed your photos. Really great photography! It’s like each post captures a soul and a light that makes the story have so much heart to it, and that’s not a common thing to see.
Isn’t it cool how baby kittens have something older and wise in their faces, like they’re ready to take on the world. And they really are! Nice to see you rescued this cutie.
