Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs.  I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

I started working on my seashore cowl again this week.  I am on my second lace section now.  I can’t keep up with even this simple lace very well, so I add stitch markers for the lace rounds, remove them during the stockinette portion, and then add them back when it’s time for lace again.  That sounds sort of tedious, but it isn’t, and it keeps me from having to think too hard.
My new book arrived in the mail last week:  The Devil’s Advocate.  It is part of the Loyola Classics series.  I have read a couple of Rumer Godden books from the same series and really enjoyed them.  Beyond the subject matter, I also really like the size of the books, the font, and the page layout.  They are easy to hold, and easy on the eyes, making them highly readable for me.  I am only about sixty pages into The Devil’s Advocate, so not totally engrossed in the story just yet, but enjoying it just the same.

p.s. The Yarn Along project bag was a gift from Lori!

I read quite a few Rumer Godden books about 20 years ago and loved them. I may have to revisit some of them 🙂
