~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~
Silas’ Latte Baby Coat is nearly complete. I need to weave in ends, block, and add buttons. I’m still figuring the button part out (it’s double breasted and gets two rows of two buttons), but I am thinking yellow buttons would look nice and brighten it up a bit. I enjoyed knitting this little sweater, and definitely recommend the pattern. Details are on my Ravelry page.
I haven’t committed to any fiction yet, but am waiting on a new book in the mail and really looking forward to it. In the meantime, the new issue of Kindred arrived in my mailbox last week, which was perfect timing for me. This issue is longer than the last, full of poems and essays, and pretty pictures too. It’s been just what I needed these past few days.
p.s. The quilt in the background of the photo is the one that Gabe made for Silas last year. The post about it is here, one of my favorite posts ever.

I’m really loving this WIP Wednesdays, yarn along. Although, my knitting is
“rusty” and have had to rip-it out more times than I would like to admit, I’m slowly learning new techniques and , becoming reacquainted with a little thing called patience.
I also, love seeing all the projects people are working on. This time, the slippers that Taryn knitted, this slipper pattern looks so cozy and relaxing to do.
Good Weekend to All,
