We had such a good weekend. First Holy Communion was Saturday morning. I tried to get photos on the way in, and afterwards, but the boys don’t really cooperate for photos unless they are surrounded by priests. (You can see that photo here.)
We had friends over Saturday evening and they brought peonies! I only have one sad little weed choked peony myself and was thrilled to receive a whole vase full. I made a lemon blueberry buckle, a dessert that I was crazy about when I made it last year. This time I was sort of disappointed. I think I have officially gotten over sugar.
I was presented with wildflowers by the girls Sunday morning, and Jonny took most of the kids shopping for a little while so I could
get some work done play. Seth stayed home with me and did a lot of complaining and wishing he hadn’t stayed because he was bored. No matter how much my kids argue when they are together, they don’t know what to do with themselves when they are apart! I suggested that since it was Mother’s Day that he make me a card. He did. I love it. I am not too proud to request handmade cards if they aren’t happening on their own.
I hope you all had a lovely weekend! I can’t believe it’s Monday already!
p.s. I am sorry that I missed Saturday Garden Journal. We’ll resume this Saturday.
