A green snake, a box turtle, and a baby turkey.  All were admired and then released, although we briefly considered keeping the turkey.

Beautiful creatures, we’ve found the first two in and around our garden.

Recent events here…7 ft. King Snake that wanted to go to battle with our neurotic dog. Same dog has a tally of killing 5 birds while in flight. On the way to school every morning we have to negotiate the wild turkey traffic jams. Oh, now that Spring has sprung the Quail covies are alive with the sound of music ( and beeping car horns). So far, nothing worth risking our lives for the sake of cuteness.

These images stirred some wonderful childhood memories for me. I hope I will let my littles explore with such abandon.

Oh love it!! I love that aren’t afraid of different types of animals. Ella would be right there with them, Austin however would stay back at least 10 feet.

Very neat! My daughter would have loved to see the box turtle as she really wants one. Cool photos of the snake too and the turkey is just precious. What fun things to find on your property (or around).
