~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~
I have been focused on Jonny’s birthday armwarmers this week. I am finished with the first and into the second. These things are so fun and a little ridiculous. They fit Jonny all the way up to his elbows. The only problem is the bind off round. I’ve cast off twice on the first one, and it’s still too tight. Next try will be Jenny’s surprisingly stretchy bind off. I probably would have been fine if I’d just gone up a couple of needle sizes for the cast off round, but I never think clearly when I am knitting past my bedtime.
As far as reading goes, I am about to start reading (re-reading? I can’t remember!) my old stained copy of One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich for my book club. I am also rereading A Father Who Keeps His Promises: God’s Covenant Love in Scripture, trying to decide if it would hold my boys’ attention if I read it aloud. I am planning to start using The Great Adventure Kids Bible Study with them, and am wondering if this book might be a good way to tie everything together as we go.
Below is a linky list if you’d like to add a link to your own Yarn Along photo.
(**And those of you posting crochet projects, don’t forget to add the word “crochet” next to your name to make yourself easier for other crocheters to find! )
