That is funky legwarmer number two! These have knit up so quickly. I feel super proud of myself for knitting something for myself, from my stash, that I have been intending to knit for over a year. When I finish these I will post Ravelry notes, as the pattern is improvised. I also mostly finished Beatrix’s Larkspur’s Camilla this week. It feels good to be nearing the completion of some projects as I am already casting on so many new ones in my mind.
I have still been reading Stephanie McPhee- so fun! I read Yarn Harlot, and started Free-Range Knitter this week. This is new to me, this reading about knitting, but I love it. I like knowing that I wouldn’t be the only one who might wipe a tear from my cheek while saying something along the lines of, “knitting changed my life.”
I read a book to my kids today that I really, really loved, so I wanted to mention that too. Andrew Henry’s Meadow is definitely now one of my favorite children’s picture books. All of my kids enjoyed it as well. It made me feel better about the fact that I let my children create lots of huge messes wonderful creations all over our property.
