~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a single photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~
I am almost finished with this little kimono wrap for the new baby. This definitely falls in the category of unecessary knitting because it will be so hot by the time he is born, but maybe somehow it will end up being really useful for my summer baby. I wanted to knit one as soon as I saw this one. I used Blue Sky Alpacas worsted cotton and while it is nice and soft, cotton isn’t my favorite to knit with given the lack of elasticity. This little wrap will need a good blocking for sure.
In the reading department, there hasn’t been time for anything outside of In Conversation with God, my Lenten reading. I am trying to be really disciplined about it, so unless I have finished my readings for the day, I don’t read anything else, and lately it has been a real challenge just to get those readings in. Just to share a juvenile chapter book, Seth read The Seven Wonders of Sassafras Springs today and really enjoyed it. It is so challenging to keep that boy in books! He reads them so quickly.
**And finally a little request from a reader: For those of you participating who are sharing crochet projects, would you mind adding the word “crochet” in parenthesis next to your name when you link up? This will make it easy for those of you who are only interested in seeing crochet projects (which are far fewer than the knitting projects here) to just look at those if you wish. Thanks so much!!**
