Yarn Along

 ~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a single photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~
I am almost finished knitting Beatrix’s Phoebe Mouse, and just cast on her little pink dress (Patterns from Phoebe’s Sweater.)  I think I am going to finish everything in time for her birthday!
I started reading An Episode of Sparrows a few days ago and I am enjoying it very much.  A sad little girl and her secret garden, in my experience, always make for a good story.  It is considered juvenile literature, something that I still enjoy.  I read a couple of “grown up” Rumer Godden books this summer:  Five for Sorrow, Ten for Joy and In This House of Brede, both excellent books as well!
**Updated to add:  I created a Flickr Yarn Along group for anyone interested in joining.  Feel free to join and post your knitting/crocheting and reading photos anytime!**

I believe that when you slow down and savor the small things, you don’t have to wish for a different life; you can discover beauty in the life you already have. {Find out more here...}

    How wonderful to be going through your old posts to come upon this book which was illustrated by my father, John Collier! 🙂 http://www.hillstream.com I hope you enjoyed the book as well as the illustration on the front. 🙂
