Beatrix: 16 months

(just woke up)

(with a very minor case of bedhead)
Because Beatrix and I visited the pediatrician today, and I ought to write it down (there is no baby book):
21 lbs and 31 inches = tall and skinny
she’s awfully light isn’t she?
pediatrician would like to see her eating more
she’s still getting most calories from breatmilk and only drinks small sips of her fresh raw cow’s milk
doesn’t seem to be a picky eater, just not that interested.  Eats some fruit, yogurt, eggs, legumes.  Drinks water.
For the first time since Seth was a baby I am attending well baby visits with Beatrix to monitor weight gain since she is gaining so slowly.
I am not too concerned…
Well, I would give up her nursing several times during the night, every night, but I don’t think she would.
Ultra sensitive skin-seems to get an ezcema- like rash from sun exposure-bummer.  Will be sewing light weight pants and long bloomers for summer I guess.  Wish she would wear a hat.  Coating all that dry skin in shea butter twice a day or so
legs:  slightly bowed, but not a cause for concern.  She gets around just fine.  Giving a vitamin D supplement just in case, especially since she has to be really protected from the sun.
what she’s saying:
“awa”  ??
“dig-um”  ?? (possibly thank you)
mama
dada
Kiki (Keats-the same way Larkspur said it)
nana (banana)
apple (this could be an apple or an orange or a cherry)
boots
clean
done
poo poo
maybe more, can’t remember
love her love her love her
