We made it. Thanks so much for any prayers said for our safe travels. I must say, I wasn’t sure about this, but I am having fun. Sometimes it is good to step outside my comfort zone I guess. I am not a thrill seeker, but was convinced to ride the Everest roller coaster at Animal Kingdom today. It was horrible. I had to fight tears to get through it, the first time. A couple of hours later I was convinced to try it again. I made it through by keeping my eyes squeezed shut and taking deep breaths while repeating to myself, “deep yoga breaths,” over and over again while taking those deep breaths. Just like natural childbirth it’s all in your mind. You just have to take control.
Of course my boys are having a great time. They don’t know about all this Disney stuff, so everything is taken at face value. I am glad they are getting this experience. It’s so outside our norm.
On the way down, we made a stop at Jekyll Island in Georgia. Jonny has been many times before, but not me. Beatrix saw the ocean for the first time. She loved it. Good girl. Not afraid to get her feet a little sandy, nor her pants a little wet. This next summer is going to be so so good.
Tomorrow is Magic Kingdom.
