Today Jonny and I celebrated the fact that 11 years ago at the ripe old ages of 20 and 21, we ran off to the mountains and got married in our sneakers! (The picture above was taken the day after we got married while we were still on our “honeymoon.” We only stayed in the mountains for the weekend because we had to get back to Athens and return to our classes.) Our marriage has beaten the odds, and as long as we are both still breathing, we will be celebrating many more years together.
So we took today off and went, ummm, yes, we went fossil hunting (there is a Bob Dylan concert in the near future as well. Jonny’s gift to me. He mostly only tolerates him for my sake). I won’t bore you with lots of sharks’ teeth pictures, but do want to share all the gorgeous fall colors we saw at the lake after our hunt. With the exception of the last photo which I tweaked just a little, these photos are SOOC (straight out of camera-no editing at all). Nothing fancy on my part; just God’s artwork captured on film (well, captured digitally 🙂
Happy Anniversary to us! Happy Weekend to you!
