…the age of these two silly boys. The one above trying not to smile; the one below smiling a little too hard.
Cute, cute, sweet boys. I love them.
And six is the number of kids I took with me into the Whole Foods in old town Alexandria at lunchtime today. Evidently that is a bit of a no-no. You don’t have to tell me twice. I like Wegman’s better anyway. Snooty yuppie faces (sticking out my tongue)!!! No I would never actually behave that way or say something like that to someone, but it is sort of fun to write it. And no it wasn’t the staff of the Whole Foods, but all the rude, in a hurry, have forgotten how to smile people in there! Too bad for them, it’s really sad to see people feeling that way. I think it must feel awful to give dirty looks to moms with lots of children. And can you imagine actually saying something inconsiderate to a young mom who obviously “has her hands full?” How absolutely dreadful. That poor man. I hope he is able to sleep tonight. Ha ha, it is actually me who isn’t going to get a good night’s rest until Beatrix gets all her teeth. I don’t mind. I like being sleepy. That’s what I keep telling myself. It must be true though. Otherwise I would have gone to bed an hour ago when she did. Okay, off to knit a few rounds (leg warmers for next winter) and then I will go to bed.

This made me laugh! Good, I am not the only one who gets dirty looks in Whole Foods from people who like dogs more than children!! :)And, I am not the only sleep-deprived one! When can we plan a visit? Seriously. Soon?Laura

I am not a fan of Whole Foods either. Too expensive. We have one very close but I NEVER go there. I much prefer Trader Joes. (treasure hunts, free coffee, yummy samples, balloons..more my speed) I love all of the photos!! beautiful!

What is it about Whole Foods? The one in Charlottesville is exactly the same. I took three little kids in there one time…Grace reached her little hand in one of the bulk food bins and grabbed a piece of chocolate. As if I wasn't horrified enough, a lady stared me down and tattled on me and Grace. She stood there with her arms crossed and told the person who worked there how she was going to get some of those but THAT little girl stuck her DIRTY little hand in there! I just shrugged my shoulders and walked away. I've had to make a conscious effort not to walk into stores with my dukes up, so to speak.

6 is cute and silly for sure! I love your pics, they are always so nice.To godlover, you can go to the LionBrand.com website and they have tons of free patterns. Also a site called <a href="http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com” target=”_blank”>www.knittingpatterncentral.com has literally thousands of free knitting patterns, they have a companion site for crochet too. For some reason, in the grocery store I inspire a lot of comments like "you tell 'em!" or "they can be little hellions cant they". Dunno why.

Hey, Ginny, anyway you could send me your patterns for leg warmers? Only if they go up to adult size. I'm making wrist warmers for both of my granddaughters for Christmas and I also want to make them leg warmers but I don't have a pattern. Can't be all that hard to do. Mostly it's just knowing how many stitches to cast on and when & how to shape them. Can't believe one of them is getting married on Aug 9th!! Gosh, it sure makes me feel old. I can't do anything about my age but I'm going to try my best to do something about my weight! Give me 90 days! For some reason the pics didn't come through on your blog. I got empty oblong boxes. No pics. Don't know if it's your end or my end that is messing up. Gotta go hubby goes for an epidurmal first thing in the morning. They're trying to block some of his pain in his neck. Keep your fingers crossed for me that the procedure actually works for him. Thanks!
