I overheard someone in the grocery store today mention that it was going to be a cool night, so I added hot dogs, chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers to my list. A Cool crisp night, especially the rare one in July, calls for a little bonfire and s’mores. The added bonus is that this dinner didn’t mess up the kitchen.
I grabbed the recipe for this easy Turkish salad from Laura’s blog. We became fans of Turkish cuisine after a little Turkish grocery opened a few minutes from our house a couple of years ago. This salad was quick to throw together, and it’s healthy and fresh tasting.

Hello Ginny,I’ve discovered your blog just three days ago and I've read almost everything. About for one year I’m following at least ten blogs and I have to admit, you are the most honest and sincere blogger I’ve ever met. Your whole story has impressed me deeply. I think, it is a very special timing, that I’ve found your blog nowadays. Recently I am having hard times and your perspective on life and your faith sustains me a lot. I’m very thankful to you for that and to God that I’ve found your blog. You have a great, a lovely family! I wish the best to all of you…Greetings from TurkeyTatoba PS: We call this kind of salad ‘shepherd salad’. I don’t know why.

Cooking and eating in the backyard is such a nifty thing to do. It's fun for everyone! All the kids look healthy and happy. Queen Bea seems to get around into different laps. I think she's loved a tad.The flowers are beautiful and the new baby (Peyton) is beautiful and absolutely precious. Watch out, Bea, you've got competition coming your way!

What a lovely meal…. Vastly better than our "fast" one at Fazioli's.
