Yeah, right. A new stray showed up at our house a little over a week ago. Monday evening Seth decided to try and push it into a little cat house and it bit him. I decided to let animal control handle this since I am slightly busy these days, and ran him up there this morning to be quarantined (the cat, not Seth). Well, they told me that after the ten day period, they would kill him because they don’t adopt out cats who bite. Keats had already dubbed the cat his, and named him Felix. I wouldn’t have minded him going to a new home via the county pound, but couldn’t just let the cat get killed, for Keats’ sake. Animal control did offer to quarantine him for me if I wanted to act as his owner, but it would cost fifty dollars when I came to reclaim him. So, now we are quarantining the cat until someone comes from the health department next week to make sure he doesn’t look rabid. And then I guess we get to pay for a neuter and a rabies shot, and we have yet another dang cat.
