Jonny and Moses made it home about 7 pm. Jonny said that the doctor had suggested that Moses stay overnight. The way he put it was, “Well he’ll probably be more comfortable here tonight.” Since Moses had been asking to come home all day, Jonny told the doctor that he would like to bring him home. However, once he was on the highway driving back he started to have regrets. Moving Moses is really hard. Every little movement hurts. So, once they got home it took about twenty minutes for Jonny to figure out how to get Moses in the house. The look of pain on his face was heartbreaking. Jonny ended up putting him on a big board and carrying the board inside and up the stairs. He’s in bed now and asleep. I did tell Jonny not to leave the hospital without a prescription, and the doctor gave him tylenol with codeine. It doesn’t seem to be doing a whole lot, but at least it makes him sleepy. We’ll see how he is in the morning.
Jonny has only slept six hours out of the past sixty and well, I am going on over four months of sleep deprivation! So I pray that Moses is able to sleep tonight so that Jonny can get caught up himself.

You have the most adorable husband. What a lucky woman (and he's pretty lucky, too.) I hope Moses heals quickly.

I've been praying for Moses throughout the day as he came to mind. It's so hard to watch children who are in pain. I've gotta believe he wanted to go home to your house, because he felt safe and loved there. Don't beat yourself up about the surgery being to soon, or more difficult than expected. Kids are resilient, and no one will be happier with the new tummy than Moses himself. The hard part will be keeping the boys from wrestling. I'm hoping you'll post soon saying how much better he's doing, but in the meantime – I'll keep the prayers going.
