Small Things

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. I haven’t cast on any more of the projects that I have ready to go. I’ve just been working back and forth on my Oaklet shawl (I am two rows away from the beginning of the lace) and have knit a few rounds on Circumnavigate. Circumnavigate is a really fun pattern! The repeats are easy to remember as I go and I am loving it so far.

I only have a few pages left in Merry Hall and I am trying to decide if I want to move on to the next book in this trilogy, or save it for awhile. Jonny is reading Better Beekeeping. Next up he wants to read about honeybee removal, and swarm trapping. He definitely has bees on the brain.

First, thank you for the compliments on my February Lady Sweater. You all made my day!

This week I’ve been getting organized and ready for new knitting projects and trying to actually finish reading the last of the stack of books that I have been reading all at once (well all at once, but not much at all-does that make sense?)

I’ve organized my project bags with yarn, patterns, and needles for three projects. So far I’ve cast on for Circumnavigate. I’ve been looking forward to knitting this for some time.

I am almost finished reading He Leadeth Me. I’ve been reading it for a year or more…I don’t know why it’s taking me forever…lots to digest I suppose, but so very good for the soul.

And in those lighter moments, I am still loving Merry Hall. Gardening with cats and flowers and a funny man; the only thing this book is missing is a bit of knitting.
