~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading and I love sharing my projects and current reads here. I would love for you to join me every Wednesday to share a single photo of what you are knitting (or crocheting) and reading too! Share your photo on your blog, on Instagram (#yarnalong), or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us!~

I’m hardly reading at all, but I did start Wilkie Collins’ The Moonstone. I loved The Woman and White, and I think I read another of his on my Kindle some time back…The Lost Lady, maybe? I am not much of a mystery reader, but I really like Wilkie Collins.
I’ve made some progress on Beatrix’s sweater, but not nearly enough to finish it in less than two weeks. Mabel doesn’t allow for much knitting, but I’m doing my best!

The Moonstone was one of the first more grown up books that I read. Strangely there was a trailer on the TV yesterday for a new series of started next week in the UK. I wonder if it will get to you.

The sweater is so pretty! I am loving that color so much. I have never read any Wilkie Collins, but I’m adding him to my endless list now.

I’m currently about half way through The Moonstone and am enjoying it. I read The Woman in White so many years ago that I can’t remember much of the story, so I plan to re-read that one soon. Your sweater is beautiful!

The Moonstone is fun! I didn’t find it quite as riveting as The Woman in White, but it was still a really fun read :).
I like that you’re reading classics…there are so many good ones out there. Then again, I pretty much like all books (that have substance).
Still love the color of Beatrix’s sweater!

I’m not a huge fan of mystery books either, but maybe I should give Collins a try? I’ve never heard of him before. The sweater is coming along nicely!

Oh! It’s beautiful! She’s going to love it no matter when it’s done.
I loved The Woman in White when I listened to the audiobook a couple years ago. It was gripping! I haven’t read anything by the author but really should. I hope you get a few extra surprise moments in the coming days for knitting. I always feel like it’s such luxury when I snatch a few minutes in the daylight hours to knit.

I just wanted to actually stop by and say HI. I love the color of Beatrix’s sweater. One stitch at a time! Sometimes that’s all we can do. ,

I’ve read both those Wilkie Collins books … a long time ago. I remember enjoying them very much.
Your sweater is lovely. Hope you can snatch a few more moments to work on it.

you are making progress on the sweater, none the less! it’s pretty! 🙂 one day, one thing, one minute at a time! God bless you this day!

Oh you can do it Ginny!! Just knit and don’t feed the family or clean or do schoolwork 🙂 Seriously though, I hope you get it closely done on time. My mom would wrap up have knitted sweaters for Christmas mornings because she didn’t meet the deadline. After we opened the gifts she’d say “give me that back so I can finish it”. I remember one Christmas, someone received a box of yarn, she never started the sweater!! Good memories 🙂
