~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading and I love sharing my projects and current reads here. I would love for you to join me every Wednesday to share a single photo of what you are knitting (or crocheting) and reading too! Share your photo on your blog, on Instagram (#yarnalong), or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us!~
I’ve been working on a new shawl this week, a pattern I’ve knit in the past and enjoyed. Last time it was intended for my younger sister, and this time it’s for me!
At the recommendation of a friend who knows my taste in books, I am reading A Room with a View. So far, I like it very much.

Hi Ginny, I’ve just come across your beautiful blog today. I love to read & just learned to knit properly last year. I’m now getting used to using circular needles (after many, many times and hours spent unraveling my knits) and enjoy knitting hats. Hope to join this Yarn Along next month. 😀

Beautiful shawl, and a wonderful book! The movie is well worth seeing, too.
I enjoyed knitting that pattern myself.

Your photo is beautiful. Is that some of your home-dyed yarn with beet juice? Interesting color.

I think what I like most about Yarn Along is finding great new patterns to knit up. 🙂 This shawl is in my very near future.

Such a good book! Such a good movie. Daniel Dey Lewis is one of my favorites. To see him in this movie and then Last of the Mohicans. Wow. Great actor.
