~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading and I love sharing my projects and current reads here. I would love for you to join me every Wednesday to share a single photo of what you are knitting (or crocheting) and reading too! Share your photo on your blog, on Instagram (#yarnalong), or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us!~
There’s not much change for me from last week’s Yarn Along, because I spent most of the week knitting bracelets. I might have added an inch to my Sproutlette. I’m more than halfway through The Thorny Grace of it, and I really like it.
I also want to share that Tracey surprised me by offering to host a virtual baby shower for me next month! I think it’s such a sweet idea, and I really appreciate it. There are details in her Yarn Along post today if you would like to join us!

Hi- I’ve been following your Yarn Along and I’ve really enjoyed it! I have a new knitting blog and I decided to start a Friday Meme called- Friday Fantasy Knits. It might take awhile to get some followers, but I thought I’d connect with some of the bloggers I followed this week. If you have time- and I know you’re amazingly busy (2 of my kids are gone off to college and only 1 teen at home), but if it sparks your imagination come join me and add a pattern or 2 or 3 of your dreams. Thanks! Have a great weekend. http://lovelyyarnescapes.blogspot.com/2016/03/friday-fantasy-knits.html

Virtual baby shower – I’m not sure how this works. Is there a list of items needed and an address to send them to or is there a way to give via PayPal?

I’m so glad you like the Brian Doyle book. I will be ordering another book of his essays. I also enjoyed his novels, Mink River and The Plover.

That is thoughtful, a great way to connect when people are too far away. I’ll have to check out The Thorny Grace of It and see if that is something that would interest me.
