~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~
I’m still knitting the first sleeve of Bea’s Leksak.
I am just beyond halfway through reading Ishmael, and I love it. It’s a predictable story to some extent, and the lead character is too good to be true, but sometimes that’s just the sort of story I want to read.

I’ve tried knitting, but I can’t knit and read at the same time.
Welcome to the Catholic blog directory. I’d like to invite you to participate in Sunday Snippets–A Catholic Carnival. We are a group of bloggers who gather weekly to share posts with each other. I lost a friend a couple of years ago to a heart attack and I was incredibly sad–for myself. I was sad for her husband and 5 daughters, but I was sad for myself, too. I had lost a wonderful friend who was funny, kind, generous, and just fun to be around. My husband and I had Masses said for her soul and her family left here on earth, which helped me grieve. I cannot imagine the grief her family has gone through, I only know the grief I have had in losing a friend. We all think about and pray for the family left behind, but I sure am more aware of the friends who are left behind as well. Praying for you, Ginny.

I just love looking at your knitting. It is so perfect! I can’t believe you don’t enter them in the State Fair. Still praying for you and your situation. I’m sure you play it over and over in your head about the turn of events and the history you shared with your friend.

The color way is so pretty, I bet it will be well loved.
Again I want to tell you how much I appreciate you hosting Yarn along- it’s rekindled the love of knitting that I almost lost- fun to read what others are knitting and getting inspired.
Thank you.

I love the color of that sweater. So soothing.
I have been thinking of you and your community. Such a deep loss. I know I can’t totally wrap my head around it. I love the way you calmly move on, dealing with your grief but staying in the present.

That sweater pattern is just the cutest thing ever! She is going to look lovely in it once it’s off the needles. I started a new shawl even though I haven’t finished knitting the old one. Made me quite happy to do so 🙂
