~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~
I picked up the front band on Beatrix’s Leksak tunic last week and finished it. Two sleeves to go.
A couple of weeks ago I started working on a reading list for my nephew and someone suggested Ishmael Or, In the Depths. It’s a free Kindle download and somehow I found myself reading it. I had never heard of this book before, but I am enjoying it-thoroughly engrossed at this point.
(Thank you for all your support over the past week and a half. I really appreciate you guys.)

Hi Ginny,
I’ve been reading your blog for awhile now, and it blesses me so much; it’s my favorite one to read! I love your pictures, and knitting, and book recommendations. I’m sorry to hear about your friend, and will pray you receive comfort, and, on the other side of mourning, are changed in a good way. I wanted to tell you that I’ve read Ishmael (and loved it), and there is a sequel that you will want to read when you reach the end! It’s called Self-Raised, or From the Depths, and it looks like there is a free Kindle edition. 🙂

I can’t imagine your pain. This loss has made me hug my babies tighter and made me try just a little harder everyday, although I fail miserably most times. I do pick myself up again, by gods grace. You aren’t alone Ginny, you are in my prayers.
Grace and peace!

I love the color of this tunic. You do such beautiful work.
Praying for your family and Sarah’s as you process this loss. ((Hugs)) Your post the other day about taking a chance gave me tearful happy memories. I made a wonderful friend by forcing myself to do just that when we lived in Okinawa. As a military kid and now military spouse, I had the bad habit of turning in and not reaching out. Luckily I decided I was going to stop doing that and try to make some friends no matter how long we – or they – would live somewhere. I kept seeing the same lady in the magazine aisle of our base store, and finally approached her to ask how old her baby was and if she’d like to meet up to go walking and discuss books and magazines. Turned out she lived one building down from me and we became best friends. We had almost three years together as neighbors. My heart aches for you and for your dear friend’s family. Thinking of you all!

Ginny,
Praying for you and Amanda’s family. It is so terribly sad and when in these trials happen, it is so difficult to believe that God has a plan. I’m pray His love and strength shows you everyday . His grace is sufficient . May His healing arms hold each of you, in Jesus name.
