~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~
I’ve hardly knit at all since last week’s Yarn Along because I was too sick to knit! I am feeling so much better now though and hope to finish the second section of my Jet Stream over the next couple of days. In the midst of it all I got a copy of The Amazing Thing About the Way it Goes, the Yarn Harlot’s new book. I am about halfway through and loving it as I do all of her books, although I think this one is my favorite! I am trying to decide if Job and I should drive to Baltimore, MD on Friday for her book signing. Are any of you going?

Displaying yourself as a professional, rather than just someone aiming to
rent a property, goes a long way towards letting you discover a
quality renter. The amount saved is small in comparison for the lost capital investment.
The first property that I bought in 1998 for $69,
000 (that I still own today) is worth $170,000 today.

Fabulous, what a web site it is! This web site gives helpful facts
to us, keep it up.

Thanks for hosting such a fun linkup. I love reading as well – have you ever listened to audible while knitting so you can get your book and knitting fix at the same time?
Sheila says
My jaw drops everytime I read what you are doing. Beautiful project and the books sound fun! I am adding them to my reading list.

I so wish I could go with you! Yes, yes, yes – you should definitely go and take pictures and tell the rest of us all about it. And you KNOW that Stephanie is going to give Job some snuggles and that is just awesome, in my knitterly mind.
Marlo says
Yes!! I didn’t know she was going to be in Baltimore. I think I might go. And I’ll bring a baby. Come and I can meet 2 amazing ladies in one evening. Your knitting looks amazing.
Ginny says
I really want to go, but am realizing that it would be a bad idea. I would be driving alone with Job during rush hour in an area I’m not familiar with 🙁 Without traffic it would be a 2 hour drive for me–during Friday rush hour-who knows! If you are in the area, you should go and take pictures!

I LOVE knit! I just can’t do it myself.
So all the knit we own, I have to buy.
But maybe some day, I will learn.
Well, learn it AGAIN. In school, when I was very young, I did knit a sock or something, but all that is forgotten now. hehe…
Deborah says
I recommend that you go. You will love it and never forget it. Get there early to get a seat. When I went to see her, she let the moms with babies go first when it came to signing the books. You will not regret going.
Heather says
As someone who just saw her in Phoenix, I say go. It was so much fun! Plus she loves the babies.

I also think of how nice it would be to knit while sick, to pass some time and “feel better” but then I never have the energy and it seems like such wasted time!
I’m glad you are all feeling better!

I’m glad you are all on the mend. Passing illness through everyone is one of the tremendously hard parts of raising a larger family. I’m the oldest of 9 and at one point in my childhood we had all been stuck at home for almost 3 months straight while we took turns getting chicken pox 2 or 3 kids at a time.

I just put this book in my library queue so excited to read it!

I hope you get well soon.
Thanks for hosting!

I’ve been too sick to knit too. Feels good to be well enough to be back at the needles! Glad to hear you are getting better. This has been a terrible season for illnesses, hasn’t it?
Tracy says
I say go! She is such a hoot 🙂

I remember lying on the couch ill in my pre-knitting days, thinking how great it would be to while the time away with knitting. Such a pleasant delusion. I’ve since learned, of course, that when I’m feeling sick there’s no energy for knitting. Phooey. I am glad to hear that you are on the mend!
Kelly J. R. says
I was hoping to see a picture of Larkspur’s birthday knit. Did you finish it on time?
Heather says
Thanks for hosting, Ginny!

Hello Ginny,
So glad you feel much better! And thanks you found the energy to host Yarn Along:)
Hope you will have a lovely day!
Amanda says
Thanks for hosting! Are you enjoying yarn harlot’s new book? I’m listening to one of her older books while I’m knitting. Love her
Christina says
I say go for it! Make the drive. People usually only regret the things they don’t do. And after all that sickness you have been dealing with, a change of place and a laugh with Stephanie sounds like especially good medicine. 🙂
karen says
my knitting has been minimal due to one child home for spring break (the other is to arrive on Thursday!). So I’m busy talking, laughing and enjoying her company.

I’m glad you are feeling better Ginny. I am reading the same book and I wish I could drive to MD with you. I would love to see Stephanie in person.
