The triple bunk is well in progress now, although there is still a long way to go. Small space + home improvement project (+ some kids) = can’t see the floor in that room. Sadly, everything screeched to a halt early this week as we have all been dropping one by one to what I guess is probably the flu. We did manage to celebrate Larkspur’s birthday, and I’ll share all about that soon. For now, it is back to bed for me and Job!

Today’s pictures are priceless. You caught the big boys exploring the ‘sketches’ of their new space, and a private conversation between Jonny and Job. That picture of father and son belongs on your laptop as the screen saver or as wallpaper on his phone.
Feel better!

Not sure how I stumbled upon your blog, I guess I was searching for homeschooling sites. I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy it! Your photos are beautiful and they help remind me to find joy in the little moments in life. I, too, have a small house, but not as many kids! I wanted more, but am happy to have two healthy ones. My boys share a small room and we’ve moved things around and adjust changing tides. The bunks are a great idea. If you can swing it, put some privacy curtains up for them. They will love it as they get older. Here is another blog that I really enjoy. They live in 665 sq. ft. It might inspire you in your efforts to live intentionally: http://www.assortmentblog.com. Hope you all feel better!

I absolutely love that you are staying in your home and making it work for you. How lovely it is to be grateful for what we have and to make the most of it. That is something I need to remind myself of right now in my life.
I love these bunk beds and can’t wait until you can tuck your kiddos away in them. What stories they will have to share at bedtime, sharing a room and enjoying each others company. In a couple years we will move our babe into a room with his two brothers. I love that they will have that experience together.

We don’t have the big home improvement projects in your equation, but we still can’t see the floor in some rooms. My husband likes to stand at the door of the culprits’ bedroom and say, “Hey! When did we carpet in here?” (Teenage girls roll their eyes; boys, laugh) Once he told our youngest that the tooth fairy didn’t come last night (we forgot) because she didn’t want to break her neck getting from the door to the bed.
Hope you feel better soon.

So sorry to hear you are all sick again. I hope it passes quickly.

Triple bunk! I planned out one only to be told by the kids that they didn’t like heights and wouldn’t sleep in it. I was going to make it look like a train sleeper… hope you all feel better soon.

Watching this triple bunk progress with interest, as I foresee one in our future. Good luck–the in-betweens with the mess and chaos can be so exasperating.

Oh Ginny! I am sorry about the flu! How awful. I know you know how to treat your lovely family, so no advice from me….just prayers for a speedy recovery. 9 of us here succumb to the nasty rotavirus after one of the grandchildren brought it home. We dropped like flies within 24 hours. It was not pretty. All much better now. I am praying for all of you!

We have been doing some major rearranging around here to try to create more room and, yes, there has been stuff everywhere! It is crazy! But doing things like this really helps you to declutter.
