~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~
To give my hand a break from holding the heavy copy of Angle of Repose I have out from the library, I read Pope Awesome and Other Stories this week. It wasn’t just my tired hand that convinced me that I needed something different to read for a couple of days. Once my copy of Pope Awesome arrived, I couldn’t help but pick it up and start reading it. It’s written by a mom of six whose story I can really relate to. I found myself needing that as I sat nursing my newborn in a slightly sleep deprived state while all my other children seemed to be bouncing off the walls last week. I am about ten pages away from finishing Angle of Repose now, and have requested another book by Wallace Stegner called Crossing to Safety from the library because I think I really love this author.
I am hardly knitting. Jonny’s hat is finished, and I’ve started another for Silas. I’ve been knitting the brim on Silas’ hat for days now. I can knit while I nurse, but I’m still too busy staring at Job to want to.
