~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a single photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~
This week I’ve been crocheting! My step mom taught me how when I was a little girl, and I pick it up from time to time, but always have to relearn all the basic stitches. I absolutely love the little hearts that Molly designed and have been wanting to try making them for a long time, but was hindered by my inability to easily pick up a crochet hook and get to work. I finally got out my crocheting book a couple of days ago and retaught myself the basics. I want to make Valentine’s Day special this year, and am planning to make heart garlands just like Molly’s to decorate our kitchen. I am crocheting two or three hearts each day, and they only take a little more than five minutes apiece to make.
As far as reading goes, I am between books and focusing more on crafty things this week. But, I thought I would share what Jonny and I have been reading to the boys: A month or so ago, Jonny read them The Lost Island , and they really enjoyed it. Now we are about halfway through another Ellis Dillon, The Island of Horses . My boys love anything that involves adventure or horses, and if you can combine the two, you’ve got a perfect book!
